Balthus
Michèle Malivel
Balthazar Klossowski, known as Balthus was born in Paris in 1908. His father, an art critic, and his mother, a painter, introduced him to the Nabis , Bonnard, Roussel and Derain at a very young age.
His theme daily is a fantastic footprint. He gives to design an apparent primacy of color but this modest man does not like to indulge.
His paintings extensively developed, lead us into a frightening world of fragility. His depictions of naked juveniles express the last moment of innocence through childhood just before the sting of the flesh is felt.
